being the church

Here are some of the ways that we work to be a part of our community, share God’s grace, and show others the love of Christ.

Disaster Relief: Hurricane Harvey

If you are searching for a way to help those impacted by the devastation of Hurricane Harvey, in the Houston, Texas area, you may do so here: Nazarene Compassionate Ministries
All donations will be used to help all those who have been affected by this natural disaster. Please continue to pray for the people of the Houston, rescue teams, and all involved in continued relief efforts.

Thursday Night Basketball

Each Thursday night at 7:00PM, we open our facilities for open-gym basketball.
Our goal is to provide a safe place for young men and women in the community.

The Commons at Madeline Park

Throughout the year, we gather at The Commons at Madeline Park to serve a meal and build relationships. The Commons is a permanent supportive housing development for those that are formerly homeless, disabled, veterans or extremely low income.

Woodridge School District

At CFCN, we work with the Woodridge Local School District in helping with the needs of students in our community. Sometimes this means meeting physical needs, other times we spend a few hours painting faces before football games.

Mission Trip: Indianapolis

From June 18-23, a group from CFCN – from small child to grown adult! –  traveled to Indianapolis to work with One Heart Many Hands (and Shepherd Community Center). They spent the week tearing down and rebuilding fencing for a local family in need. It was a huge amount of work, but a wonderful opportunity to reach out and connect with this family.
